VANCOUVER GIANTS - 4 vs. REGINA PATS - 3

Tonight at 7:00 pm in the Brandt Centre with CKRM Broadcaster Rod Pedersen and Colorman Al Dumba, with the Pre-Game Show at 6:35 pm on 620 CKRM. The Regina Pats Hockey Club wants to welcome everyone to the Brandt Centre for a thrilling night of hockey. Fans can watch the Pats take on one of the top teams in the WHL in the Vancouver Giants, and fight for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. All the while, during the pre-game and intermissions, the fans will be able to watch the Olympic game between Canada and Russia.

GAME SUMMARY: Regina Pats took a 2-0 lead only to see Vancouver come back a tie the score at 2-2 after the first period. Myles Bell scored on a screen wrist shot in front oif the net at 12:23, assisted by Carter Ashton and Tomas Hricina. One minute later Jordan Weal scored on the second rebound at 13:22, assisted by matt Scrueby and Colten Teubert. Vancouver's Brenden Gallagher skating to the net, scored at 16:16, assisted by Kevin Connauton and Craigh Cunnigham. Less then one minute later Vancouver's David Musil tied it on a bad rebound at 17:01, assisted by Milan Kytnar. Vancouver out shot Regina 21 to 14 in the first period.

Regina Pats took a 3-2 lead early in the second period when Jordan Eberle scored on a wrist shof off the goalies block into the upper part of the net at the 0:46 mark, assisted by Jordan Eberle. Brett Breitkreuz of Vancouver once again tied the game at 3-3 as he shot to the top right corner of the net at 11:02, assited by James Henry. Vancouver once again out shot Regina 16-9 in the period.

The only goal in the third period was at 6:46, when Gallagher redirected Nolan Toigo shot, it was also assisted by Cunningham.

Jordan Weal's two goals moved him into a team's scoring lead tie, with Jordan Eberle both with 90 points. Eberle: GP: 49, G: 42, A: 48, PTS: 90 and Weal: GP: 64, G: 30, A: 60, PTS: 90
