Brandon tied the game when Alexander Urbom was allowed to wal in the circle and score on a high shot at 11:05, assisted by Braydon Schenn and Brodie Melnychuk.
In the second period Brandon scored 4 straight goals. Toni Rajala at 6:03 on a low shot, assisted by Apron Lewadniuk. Then thirty seconds later Matt Calvert scored, assited by Scott Glennie and Schenn. The next goal was a bad one, as Regina Pats Garret Mitchell got a nasty elbow to the head and was down, and the referees aloud play to continue and Brandon's Matt Schneider scored at 8:41, assisted by Brenden Walker. They made it 5-1 when they scored on a 3 on 1 break. Scott Glennie scored at 10:59, assisted by Rajal and Schenn. Regina Pats got on the score board with 12 second left in the period when Myles Bell scored his first goal in the WHL assisted by Jordan Weal.
