GAME SUMMARY: By: Ron C. Johnston - Regina Pats lost their second shot out in two nights as Red Deer won 3-2. Red Deer's Cullen Morin shot from the centre blue line and Ryan Nugen-Hopkins parked infront of the net, scored on the rebound at 8:21 of the first period, also assisted by Adrej Kudma. One of the nicest plays was when Red Deer where on a delayed power play, with their goalie pulled for an extry attacker, a Pat player shot the puck down the ice, heading for the open net. Colin Archer skated after the puck and at the last moment dived for the puck and stoped it just before the puck went over the goal crease.
Regina Pats tied the game at 1-1 when Cody Carlson shot from the blue line. With a scramble at the goal crease, Matt Scrueby scored on a rebound from Jordan Weal's shot infront of the net at 14:18.
Swift Current scored on a two man advantage power play, when Willie Cotzee recieved a pass from Hugen-Hopkins at the right boards and scored just over the centre of the blue line at 1:34, also assisted by Kudma. With Swift Current up 2-1, Regina Pats pulled their goalie Ketlo with 40 seconds remaining. Cody Carlson shot from the blue line and Strueby scored infront of the net at 19:48, also assisted by Jordan Eberle.
