CALGARY HITMEN - 6 vs. REGINA PATS - 2

Calgary Hitmen visit the Regina Pats tonight at 7:00 pm. at the Brandt Centre, with CKRM Broadcaster Rod Pedersen and Colorman Al Dumba. (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show will be at 6:35 pm). With Moose Jaw and Swift Current both losing in regulation Tuesday night, the Regina Pats stay five points behind the Moose Jaw Warriors for the final playoff spot with only Regina - 15 games to play.

GAME SUMMARY: By: Ron C. Johnston - There was no scoring in the first period. In the second period there were 5 goals scored. Calgary came out flying and took a 3-0 lead by the mid point of the period. The first had Brandon Kozeun receiving an out front puck that went across the front of the net. He scored at 2:27, assisted by Misha Fisenko and Ian Schultz. Kozun scored his second goal on a power play as he came across infront of the net and scored at 6:07, assisted by Fisenko and Michael Stone. The third goal was a delayed penalty as Fisenko picked up a free puck and scored at the 9:28 mark, assisted by Cody Sylvester and Shultz. Regina Pats finally got on the score board as Hampus Gustafsson scored on a rebound at 12:40 as their was a give away infront of the net. The goal was assisted by Carter Ashton and Matt Strueby. It was Calgary 4-1 going into the third period.

Calgary went up 5-1 when Burgart scored from a scramble infront of the net at 2:18, assisted by Sylvester and Del Cowan. Regina Pats then came back and scored as Carter Ashton scored a back hand goal that went off a skate into the net at 4:49, assisted by Jordan Weal and Mitch McCowan. The final goal had Tyler Fiddler take the puck from a Regina Pats Defenceman and was allowed to walk in and score at 8:55.

With Kozun's hat trick in the second period, he moved into an second place tie with Regina Pats Jordan Eberle.
