The Canadian women's hockey team came out with a dazzling showcase of its diverse scoring abilities on Wednesday as it clobbered Sweden 13-1 for its third straight lop-sided victory of the 2010 Olympics. The Canadian Team scored 7 goals in the second period to take a 12-0 lead going into the final period.

From skillful breakaways, to stunning two-on-ones to the fast and relentless pursuit of rebounds, the Canadian women scored in every way possible to proclaim loud and clear that they are at these Games to play their best, and they won't show any mercy to anyone.

Megan Agosta scored her second hat trick of the Olympics for eight goals in the team's three games, which ties the record for goals in a single Olympic tournament. She also added two assists.

Cherie Piper and Gillian Apps each added two goals and an assist, while single goals were added by Marie-Philip Poulin, Sarah Vaillancourt, Tessa Bonhomme, Jayna Hefford, Hayley Wickenheiser, and Haley Irwin.

At one point during the second period, the Canadians actually scored three goals in the span of 59 seconds.

With her latest goal - number 16 - Wickenheiser set a record for the most career goals at the Olympics, overtaking former Canadian player Danielle Goyette (15 goals).

The Canadians outshot the Swedes 52-13. Swedish star goaltender Kim Martin - the most outstanding goalie of the 2006 Turin Olympics - allowed ten goals and left the game in the middle of the second period in favour of Sara Grahn.

Canada's Kim St-Pierre made four saves in just over two periods, when Charline Labonte took over and made eight saves and allowing the lone Swedish goal.

Canada easily advances to the next round at the Games.
