The Regina Pats start a heavy slat of games this week-end, starting tonight with a home and home series against the Moose Jaw Warriors at Brandt Centre. Game time is 7:00 pm, CKRM Rod Pedersen broadcasting the game and Colorman is Al Dumba, also a Western Canada Broadcast on Shaw Cable/Access 7. Tomorrow at the Moose Jaw Crush Can at 1:30 pm will be the Trans-Canada Clash with the Regina Pats Alumni taking on the Moose Jaw Warriors Alumni. In the evening the two Juniors will have a remach. Monday, the Regina Pats will being playing a re-scheduled game against Kootenay Ice and on Tuesday against the Red Deer Rebels, both games at the Brandt Centre.

GAME SUMMARY: - A late goal by Regina Pats Carton Ashton gave a hard fought 3-2 victory over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors. Regina took a 2-1 lead after the first period and there was no scoring in the second period.
In the first period, Regina Pats Centre Matt Strueby won the face-0ff at Moose Jaw's left face-off circle. He shot the puck back to Defenceman Cody Carlson, who skated in towards the front of the net and scored to the lower corner of the net at 3:49. Moose Jaw tied the game on a power play when Brendan Roinski pass out from the right boards to Thomas Frazee who was parked at the left side of the net and scored into the open net at 5:31, also assisted by Jason Bast. Regina Pats Andrew Rieder scored his first goal off the season as he recieved a pass from Dwinic Fraveau. Rieder skated across infront of the net and back handed the puck into the corner of the net at 12:08, also assisted by Kyle Mulder.
There was no scoring in the second period.
Moose Jaw tied the score when Bast found a loose puck at the left side of the net and skated across infront of the net and shot a back hand then scored on his own rebound at 15:52. It looked liked the game might go into over time only to have Mitch McColm shot from the point. Jordan Weal was parked infront of the net, recieved the shot and passed to Ashton who scored at the corner of the net at 18:26.
