REGINA PATS - ANNUAL SPORTMAN'S DINNER

Dinner is set for March:

The annual Regina Pats Sportman’s Dinner is set for March 8th at the Delta Inn. The doors open at 6:00 p.m., the dinner and ceremonies begin at 7pm. Get your tickets by dropping by the Regina Pats office, or call 522-PATS for more information.

Ron "Scoreboard" JOHNSTON - I joined the Regina Pats in 1965-66 season, when Manager Del Wilson was looking for a Statistician. I was with the club until 1974, then returned in 1977-78 season when Coach-manager Lorne Davis asked me to help the team - I received my nickname, prior to the first exhibition game in 1964, at Moose. I was in the dressing room about to leave, when Ernie Hicke called, "Hey Scoreboard", I turned around and responded, and it has stuck with me to this day.
