REGINA PATS - 2 vs. MEDICINE HAT TIGERS - 5

vs.

With the World Juniors in Regina, the Regina Pats are again out of the Brandt Centre. The Pats open a 4-game road trip tonight in Medicine Hat at 7:00pm (Sask time) on 620 CKRM, Broadcaster, Rod Pedersen and colorman Dan Plaster (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show at 6:35pm). The Pats are hoping to avoid a sixth straight loss.

The Pats patchwork defence continues to be a work in progress. Brandon Davidson is still out for at least a couple of more games with his knee injury, while three more defencemen: Colten Teubert (World Juniors), Myles Bell and Tyler Borstmayer (Under-17's) are off to play in international tournaments.

GAME SUMMARY: It has been a long time since Regina Pats have scored first. Matt Strueby scored as he was parked infront of the net and tipped in Mitch Spooner's wrist shot from the blue line at 7:12, also assisted by Hampus Gustafsson. A bad off side miss by the Linesman and a bad change by Regina Pats resulted in a Medicine Hat 2 on 1, with Bretton Cameron scoring at 11:36, assisted by Linden Vey and Wacey Hamilton.

Medicine Hat's Cameron scored his second goal as he picked up a free puck in the Regina Pats zone and scored at 9:47 of the second period, assisted by Mark Isherwood and Tomas Kundratek.

In the third period Medicine Hat Tigers went up 3-1, when Scott McKay scored as the puck slid under Regina Pats' goaltender at 4:02, assisted by Red Patryk and Jace Coyle. Christian King skated around the whole Regina Pat Team and scored at 10:18, assisted by Taylor Gal and Joey Frazer.
