
Taylor Hall scores three goals

Canada came out scoring three goals in less then three minutes to jump ahead 3-0 over Slovakia. Taylor Hall starting the scoring on a power play goal as he shot from the left face-off circle at 7:18, assisted by Ellis and Jordan Eberle. Twnety-one seconds later Alex Pietrangelo scored on a long shot from the right side of the blue line, assisted by Cormier and Bourque. Just over three minutes later Hall scored his second goal when he intercepted a Slovakia Defencemans clear out from the left back boards. Hall skated in down the left boards and shot to the upper right side of the net at 10:43.
Canada went up 4-0 when Adam skated around the back of the net and scored into the right corner of the net at 5:08, assisted by Della Rovere. It was Canada 5-0, as Ellis scored a power play goal near centre infront of the net at 13:20, assisted by Hall and Kadri. Slovakia scored a power play goal, ending the shut out streak at 157:25 minutes as Panik scored a tip in at the right corner of the net at 17:25, assisted by Hrasko and Rais. Canada then scored two quick goals in less then one minute. The first a power play goal by Hall at 17:42, assisted by Ellis and Pietrangelo. Then Schenn scored at 18:39 at the right corner of the net, assisted by Kozun and Pietrangelo to make it 7-1 for Canada going into the final period.
Canada made it 8-1 as they were short handed. A turn over at Slovakia's left side of the blue line, had Canada go 2 on 1 with Della Rovere scoring at 12:41, assisted by Schenn. The final score had Slovakia's Bakos score at the left corner of the net at 13:43, assisted by Stastny.
