SASKATOON BLADES - TRAVIS TOOMEY - SUSPENDED ONE GAME - FOR HIT ON PATS MATT STRUEBY

Toomey Suspended

Saskatoon Blades forward Travis Toomey (Leduc, AB) has been suspended one game by the Western Hockey League for a hit on October 21st against the Regina Pats. Toomey was assessed a double minor for checking from behind in the first period of Wednesday’s game for a hit on Pats forward Matt Strueby. The third-year Blade will miss tonight’s game against the Swift Current Broncos and will be eligible to return in time for tomorrow night’s game against the Kamloops Blazers at home.

May be the WHL should have given Toomey more than one game suspension, I notice that Saskatoon is loosing to Swift Current 4-0, Friday night, after the second period.
